I’m Aimee Carlson, a landscape artist working in oils and acrylics, inspired by the places, people, and moments that make us want to linger just a little longer.

My paintings are rooted in the landscapes that surround my life—from quiet mornings and glowing sunsets along the Iowa lakes to the rugged mountains and desert light of Arizona, as well as the places I discover while traveling. I’m especially drawn to changing light, dramatic skies, reflections on water, and those ordinary moments in nature that suddenly become extraordinary.

My work is about more than recreating a scene. I want each painting to hold a feeling, a memory, or a story. My faith is an important part of my creative life and influences the way I see the beauty and meaning in the world around me.

In addition to creating original artwork, I teach painting classes and workshops for beginners and developing artists, including community events, private groups, and Paint & Sip experiences. I enjoy creating an encouraging environment where people can explore painting, learn new techniques, and discover their own creativity.
