Andre Vander Velde is a singer-songwriter, educator, and community arts organizer with more than 15 years of performance and songwriting experience. He has released multiple albums and singles as a solo artist and is the frontman of the soul/rock band Jaguar James, which was nominated for Best Soul at the Omaha Entertainment & Arts Awards.

In addition to performing, Andre leads songwriting groups for teens and adults, facilitates beginner ukulele workshops, and regularly performs in retirement communities throughout the region. His work centers on connection, creativity, and making music accessible to people of all ages and experience levels.

Andre holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art from Augustana University and also leads visual arts workshops in drawing, painting, mixed media, and printmaking. His interdisciplinary approach blends music, storytelling, and visual art to create welcoming and engaging creative experiences.

Andre is also the founder of Field Co Creative and serves as a host for CreativeMornings Omaha, where he helps cultivate spaces for artists, musicians, and creatives to gather, collaborate, and grow.
