I am a realistic impressionist with a passion for capturing both the subtle beauty of everyday moments and the dramatic contrasts of light and shadow. For much of my career, I worked as a freelance artist, creating pieces that reflected my evolving artistic voice. After stepping away for a time, I returned with a renewed creative drive and a fresh perspective.
While my journey is driven by exploration and expression rather than commercial pursuit, I enjoy offering critiques and sharing insights with fellow artists. Having initially studied impressionism, I am now deeply engaged in chiaroscuro, with a current focus on tenebrism—a technique that emphasizes stark contrasts between light and dark. This creates intense drama and emotional depth in my work. I draw particular inspiration from the bold, evocative paintings of Artemisia Gentileschi and Michelangelo Caravaggio, whose mastery of light and shadow continually influences my creative process.
I specialize in charcoal portraitures, scenery, and everyday images, aiming to evoke emotion through bold contrast and intricate detail. In addition to creating commissioned pieces, I also offer demonstrations and instructions, sharing my techniques and approach with others. If you are interested in commissioning a piece, scheduling a demo, or collaborating on a project, or project management, feel free to reach out. I am available for hire and open to new creative ventures.
