I am a mixed media artist who calls Iowa home, and I’ve been on this creative journey for over 20 years. My art journey began when I grew weary of the legal world’s discord and yearned for more beauty and joy in my life.  Mixed media is a celebration of the artistic process itself.  In my artwork, I blend an eclectic mix of elements, such as old book pages, abstract books, recipe cards, magazines, receipts, sewing patterns, maps, newspapers, and salvaged treasures.  I create custom papers by applying acrylic paint or watercolor to found papers or I print on different types of papers.  These papers are thoughtfully torn and layered onto canvas or cradleboard until they attain the perfect look and feel.
