Jennifer Gauerke is a multimedia artist residing in the Des Moines area. Her works are composed of various materials, including collage and acrylics, often utilizing found objects. In less traditional forms, Jen has created murals for Drake University and Public Space One, in Iowa City. She also created a piano for public use to support the arts in Des Moines with City Sounds. Jen has participated in several group shows including an honorable mention at Polk County Heritage Gallery and won the Veronika Ruedenberg Mixed Media Award at Octagonal Gallery in Ames. In 2024 she had solo exhibitions at Five Monkeys as part of Valley Junction’s gallery night and at the Smokestack gallery with the Dubuque Area Arts Collective.
