Hello

My name is Jill Sneed.

I have had the desire to create art since I can remember and I love to work in all kinds of mediums such as watercolor, ink, printmaking, fibers and photography. I grew up in the suburbs of St. Louis, Missouri and as a child had two big interests: drawing and exploring nature.

I studied Fine Arts at both Missouri State University and Maryville University-St. Louis. I have had work published in books both in the United States and England. Currently have work for sale at the Octagon Center of the Arts in Ames, Iowa and at Mary Rose Collection in Perry, Iowa.

I live in the small town of Stanhope, Iowa where I enjoy the peacefulness of rural Iowa life.

My work can be purchased at the above mentioned places, on my website, and at various art festivals I attend through out the year.

I teach the following classes:  Contour Drawing, Intro to Bookbinding, Coptic Stitch Bookbinding, and Carved Eraser Stamps (an intro to printmaking).  Please contact me at jsneedart@gmail.com to book a class.
