My work is socially driven. As a Mexican American (Chicano) it’s my duty to be a steward for those around me. I make works of art in which tell a bit of who I am and the many faces of my culture. Often I have made it a point to make Iowa more hospitable through the power of Art. My purpose is to give natural born citizens and immigrants something tangible to feel a sense of unity and open doors to communication.
