a fervent and necessary arrangement is our Spring 2025 online juried exhibition. The theme, a fervent and necessary arrangement, is a phrase taken from the poem Sometimes by Mary Oliver, exploring the emotional unknown between life and death. We would like you to show us how you explore emotions and feelings in your art for this exhibition; consider the ways emotions dictate your practice, how feelings change the way you see your work, or how you want to evoke emotion in your viewers.

The exhibition will examine these ideas through a variety of mediums in art. Any mediums are welcome, including but not limited to sculpture, painting, collage, photography, digital art, video art, installation, ceramics, performance art…anything you can think of! You may submit up to 3 artworks for a $5 fee, due March 20, 2025. Artists will receive a notification a week after the deadline. Students may submit for free with the code STUDENT25 (to use this, please use your school email when applying). The exhibition will go live on April 1, 2025.

 This exhibition will be juried by André Ramos-Woodard (he/ they).
