Cedar Rapids’ Transit, City Manager’s Sustainability Office, and Community Development Departments, along with the City’s Public Art Commission, invite artists and designers to submit proposals for vinyl-wrapped artwork to be featured on up to nine bus shelters throughout the community. This public art initiative aims to transform everyday transit spaces into vibrant, engaging landmarks that enliven transportation corridors around Cedar Rapids.

Up to four artists will be selected for this project, which may encompass as many as nine bus shelters across Cedar Rapids. Artists will have the opportunity to design artwork for the back window panels of up to three shelters, creating a cohesive yet diverse visual experience for transit riders and the community.
