The City of Cedar Rapids Utilities’ Solid Waste and Recycling Division and Public Art Commission are collaborating to bring public art to neighborhoods across the city. The City of Cedar Rapids seeks artists/artist teams to transform garbage collection trucks into vibrant, rolling works of art.

Multiple artists will be selected for this project. The artist stipend is $1,250 per truck for selected, final original designs to be displayed as art wraps on four City garbage trucks. Artist submissions are due March 22, 2026. Read the full call for artists here: https://cityofcr.com/art
