Learn More About This Opportunity

Wright Community Connections is excited to share that we have submitted a request to the Wright County Charitable Foundation to help expand our Color Me Creative Summer Art Camp for local youth. This summer program is designed to give children in kindergarten through 5th grade a safe, creative, and welcoming place to explore art, build confidence, and connect with caring adults in our community.

As part of our 2025 planning and summer expansion, we hope to include local artists, makers, and creative community members as guest teachers. We would love to invite you to consider leading a short, hands-on activity or demonstration with our campers. Possible sessions could include painting, fiber art, clay, collage, nature art, drawing, storytelling through art, cultural art traditions, or any creative project you feel would inspire young learners.

Our goal is to expose children to a variety of art forms while also helping them see the talented people who live and create right here in Wright County. Guest teachers would not need to prepare a full camp curriculum — even a simple 30–60 minute activity, demonstration, or creative conversation would make a meaningful impact.

Color Me Creative is about more than making art. It is about imagination, confidence, connection, and giving children access to enrichment opportunities that are not always available in rural communities. With community support, we hope to grow this program into a stronger summer learning opportunity that brings together youth, families, artists, and volunteers.

Thank you for considering being part of this effort. We would be grateful for the opportunity to visit with you about your ideas and how your creativity could help inspire the next generation of young artists.

With appreciation,

Erica Lindaman
