SILTFest is an annual celebration event that brings together all stakeholders and communities to support protecting farmland across Iowa. For this year’s event, we hope to uplift Cedar Rapids-area artists through a FREE art show! Our goal is to use creativity to spotlight the importance of conservation in our state.

We invite artists of all skill levels and backgrounds to contribute original artwork for an Art Show. Your art will help demonstrate the natural beauty of Iowa’s farmland and need to protect it. After the event you will be able to pick up your artwork and do with it as you please!

Why participate?
Having your art displayed at SILTFest will gain exposure for your art with a wide variety of attendees. Additionally, by showcasing your art, you are supporting SILT and our mission.

Medium:
– All mediums are accepted, but works must be easily transportable

Event Theme:
“SILT’s Victory Garden Art Show: Food Security and Independence”
All works should connect to SILT’s missions or the event theme in some way. Be creative!
Topics may include: Farming/agriculture, sustainability, land stewardship, food access/security, conservation, and community.
