GIFF is a six-day celebration of storytelling through independent cinema produced by Glendale Arts, a non-profit organization. GIFF 2026 will take place from September 23-28 in Glendale, CA. Glendale is the fourth largest city in Los Angeles County and home to the Walt Disney Company’s Grand Central Creative Campus and DreamWorks Animation’s global headquarters.

Our festival has been ranked among the Top 100 Best Reviewed Festivals in the World on FilmFreeway and features a film and screenplay competition, Q&As, panels, and networking opportunities with industry professionals.

We also welcome student film and screenplay submissions for our student screenings and awards.
