Welcome to my art page! I love creating art, from acrylics, mixed media with fluid art to some of my favorites, oil paintings! I began painting after officially retiring in 2020. In our 55+ community we winter in, they offer Paint and Sip classes each month. I had never painted before these classes and found I truly enjoyed them and wanted to explore other mediums. Having a father who is a commissioned artist, led me to dabble in oil paints. At first I wasn’t sure I liked that medium, so I spent my first year really exploring fluid art; how the colors worked with each other, how they moved on the canvas, and how you could use so many different tools to create just about anything! However, I came back to oil paintings and decided I just needed to create my way. Boy am I glad I did as it has become my absolute favorite medium. I get lots of expert advise from my father on values, creating depth, and just his overall critiques along the way making me a better painter with each painting! I am dabbling in Plein Air and am excited to get out into nature and paint. We are so blessed to summer at a lake and winter in the southwest, so inspiration is not a problem!

Recently I have begun to show my artworks beginning with our Clay County Fair. It is the largest county fair in the states. I was grateful to receive three blue ribbons, two red ribbons and Overall Outstanding Achievement in Art from my oil paintings collections! Truly an honor to be acknowledged.
