Ariane is an Iowa City based artist who enjoys working with a variety of mediums, including watercolor, acrylic paint, colored pencil, and printmaking.  Much of her work encompasses natural and fantastical themes.  She received a degree in theater with a costume focus at New Mexico State University in 2008 and is currently a BFA candidate in printmaking at the University of Iowa.

Projects Ariane has worked on throughout the years include: Iowa City’s Wonderful Westside Neighborhood Association mural project (2023), Global Food Project x PS1 (2023, screen printed posters highlighting recipes by international growers: http://www.publicspaceone.com/gfpxps1), Iowa City Carnaval (2012-2019)

Use this section to get the parent/child taxonomies for a single post being viewed

The above pulls in each of the parents within the artist-discipline taxonomy , which is good, if I want to display them alone without their children.

Will need to figure out how to return the sub categories (artist-discipline) for each parent individually and then loop through all parents assigned to the CPT (artist) being viewed.

In this section I was able to successfully pull all sub categories that belongs to the 2 parents selected. This could be good if I was trying to show all possible choices under that parent, but what I really need is to pull just the selected ones back.
