I am a painter, potter and sculptor. I enjoy painting with a variety of media and subject matter that reflects my varied interests in life. Whether exploring the subject of reflections, my flower and vegetable gardens, the produce at the local grocery store, hot air ballooning, overseas travel, the human figure or boats on the water, I try to make the ordinary extraordinary. I paint in both acrylic and oil paint and also create works in mixed media.

With clay, I create both functional and decorative pottery and sculpture in stoneware and raku-fired ware using the potter’s wheel and hand building. I also love creating sculpture with found objects combined with clay forms. Sometimes I determine the end result and use discipline to get there – sometimes the end is unknown and the discipline is in following the journey!
