My name is Julia Kulish, I am a floral artist from Center Point, Iowa. I love to paint large scale flowers in oils, using several layers of thin glazes of paint to build up until a vibrant reflection of nature can be seen.

Flowers fascinate me. They demand our attention, with their brilliant colors and voluptuous curves. I see flowers personified, each with their own unique personality.

A lot of my inspiration comes from my own garden, as many flowers, sharing the same space, some bent over, some stretching out. They intwine themselves around each other in a chaotic beauty of sinuous lines and color.
