Kelsey Wilson is an artist from Nevada, Iowa. She studied illustration and painting at Savannah College of Art and Design and now pursues her ongoing studio mission to bring “Joy through Art.”

In the studio, botanical paintings play a significant role in her practice. These paintings often serve environmental education purposes. They are highly detailed works that tell the story of an individual plant while maintaining scientific accuracy for that species.

Outside the studio, Kelsey takes on mural projects ranging from smaller interior murals to large scale exterior murals. The subjects vary widely as they are chosen to suit the space and needs of clients.

Kelsey attends festivals and fairs across the Midwest each year selling art in person and demonstrating watercolor techniques. She hopes art promotes peaceful attentiveness to the beauty around us.
