I have been painting and drawing since I was very young and I’ve always been fascinated by stained glass.  I have a very graphic style and have been able to create a stained glass ‘look’ by using black paint pen and acrylic paint on the reverse side of glass.  When the art is viewed against different background colors, the changes in the paint color on the glass is amazing.

I have always loved color and how it can make you feel different emotions (I have a pink hallway in my home:)!  I studied Graphic Design at Iowa State University and have been influenced by the Impressionists and their non-traditional use of color. I also love gardening and bicycling so many of my images are flowers/plants/butterflies and some are combined with bicycles.

It’s important to me to recycle and repurpose. I use pieces found at thrift shops; frames, glass objects, such as wine/martini/margarita glasses, vases, candle holders and more. The 3-D items are completed with a usable hand-wash finish. Commissions are welcome.
