Naomi Friend is an artist and farmer-florist in Central Iowa. She explores the prairie by observing and by creating. She is perhaps most recognized as the creator of over 70 sticker designs of Iowa Parks, an ongoing project to celebrate our preserved wild spaces and active restoration of depleated farmlands. She creates drawings and paintings using mixed media including antique photo processes (cyanotype) of native Iowa animals and plants. She also owns and operates Friend’s Flowers, a farm-to-arrangement family business which grows, designs, and sells cut flowers on their three acre farm north of Ames, Iowa.
